This session will describe how collaboration between industry and the federal government is saving lives. The alliance between the National STEPS Network, OSHA and NIOSH is very active and has improved safety and health by facilitating collaboration among diverse partners, encouraging field research, collecting data, and developing and disseminating hazard alerts for emerging issues. We’ll discuss the alliance’s activities and impact, including implementation of engineering controls and best practices. You’ll learn how industry and government agencies can work together through alliances, networking and other methods.
