David L. Caruso is the Coordinator and Senior Health Communication Specialist for the NIOSH Oil and Gas Extraction Safety and Health Program. He also Coordinates the National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) Oil and Gas Extraction Council and represents NIOSH on an OSHA Alliance with National STEPS Network. He joined NIOSH in 2002 and worked for 12 years in the NIOSH Office of Mine Safety and Health Research. He lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA.
