Hanna Shekhter is the Director of STEM Innovation and Education at Brauser Maimonides Academy (BMA) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Over the past 13 years, Hanna has implemented a Technology Integration program that relies on digital tools, coupled with embedded professional development, to achieve curricular objectives. She was instrumental in launching and expanding an innovative STEM program at BMA which currently consists of a makerspace and comprehensive STEM curriculum. In addition, she has implemented an extensive K-8 coding curriculum which introduces students to computer science and critical thinking skills often through the use of Robotics. During the wake of the pandemic, Hanna was instrumental in seamlessly adapting the school and faculty to a Virtual and Hybrid learning environment. She is a Certified Google For Education Trainer and has a great passion for educational technology and finds gratification in transforming her students into lifelong learners.
