$W233 | Integrating Robotics Into Your Computer Science Curriculum (Room SOUTH 331B)

Robots are everywhere, and it’s a great time to use them in our classroom to not only promote computer science skills but also to emphasize creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Using robotics is an effective method to teach students forms of STEM while practicing 21st century skills in fun and engaging ways. Robotics also gives teachers an added opportunity to introduce these skills in ways that meet their classroom requirements. You will learn about robotics programs that you can implement in your classroom with resources that can help you get started. By creating scenarios and activities that mimic real-world situations, you will create opportunities for your students to collaborate and communicate with their peers.
