$W262 | Coding Strategies for Early Elementary Students (Room SOUTH 331A)

At the core of computer science is computational thinking, a key skill that every student should have, and what better time to start developing that skill than early on in a student’s academic career? There are several strategies that can be implemented as a separate or integrated curriculum in introducing computational thinking through coding. Through the use of online programs, apps, robotics, and even unplugged activities, you will learn a number of ways to begin the process. Ultimately, you will also learn ways to integrate coding into content areas to further develop this important lifelong skill.
