Mentoring is the process of sharing experience and expertise to assist someone in their personal and professional growth. Research indicates that, compared to their peers, mentored personnel perform better on the job, advance more rapidly, and report more job satisfaction. A successful mentoring relationship can have far reaching benefits for both the mentor and the mentee. The presenters will discuss the characteristics of a quality mentor, the key elements to good mentoring, and suggestions for developing a quality mentoring program.
