How to Use LIFE Critical Safety Data to Prevent Injuries

Dow embarked on a journey to reduce injuries related to workers not following critical safety requirements. Its method – which employed a simple system of identification, categorization and analysis of underlying causes – resulted in a more than 50 percent reduction in these events. Support was garnered across the entire organization and, most importantly, from senior leadership. In this session, attendees will learn how to categorize injuries by adherence to LIFE Critical Safety requirements, understand how to assign a human behavior error type to each injury, and be able to formulate the data in a manner that gains leadership support for proposed corrective actions.
