Throughout his 37 year career, Michael has been helping internal clients at the Dow Chemical Company achieve their EH&S goals objectives by employing unique data analysis techniques and by developing innovative solutions. He has developed a broad range of experience in the chemical manufacturing and construction industry by working in production, capital project, and people leader roles, in addition to his direct involvement in the EH&S department for the last 16 years. He is currently working as an Innovation Leader in Dow’s EH&S Technology Center. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering for Louisiana State University. He has been trained in Six Sigma project methodology. He has used this approach successfully on numerous EH&S projects and helped champion the use of a fast track version of this process. Involvement in professional organizations includes presenting at OSHA VPP Safety Conferences and membership in the Campbell Institute’s Leading Indicators Workgroup. When not working for Dow, you are most likely to find him on, near, or under water, as he enjoys diving, sailing, and kayaking. One of his more adventurous trips involved a 100 mile kayaking trip exploring the islands of the British West Indies.
