Plantgene Seeds, India, undertakes contract production of hybrid vegetable seeds (tomato, pepper, eggplant, melon, watermelon, squash, cucumber) and hybrid field seed (corn, sorghum, sunflower, rice, pearl millet). South Indian weather being moderate, it is possible to produce seed almost round the year. We do contract production for numerous companies in USA, South America, Europe, Asia/Japan and Africa/Middle East.
Incorporated in 2003, the company's production activities are located largely around the southern Indian cities of Hyderabad and Bangalore, while the corporate office is in Gurgaon - a suburb of New Delhi.
The team is led by Madan Khunnah, a Chartered Accountant and MBA (USA) with experience of 30 years in the seed industry. He was Country Manager/CEO (India) for several years with Pioneer Hi-Bred International prior to his association with Plantgene.
