The American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers, Inc. (AIME) supports its four Member Societies, AIST, SME, SPE, and TMS, through the conferring of awards, scholarships, and grants. And, as one of the five Founder Societies of engineering in the United States, along with AIChE, ASCE, ASME, and IEEE, AIME provides its Member Societies with representation within the larger engineering and scientific community.
