Growing up, Michael was what you would call a bad teenager. Mike hung around with the wrong people and got into all sorts of trouble. His parents decided to open a restaurant with the goal in mind to keep him out of trouble and create financial independence for their family. In 2004, DeNunzio's Brick Oven Pizza and Grille was born. Four years later his parent's house was lost in foreclosure, and the restaurant was one month away from closing it's doors forever. The DeNunzio family was at rock bottom. Fifteen years later, things are very different. Thankfully through education and application, Mike was able to not only save DeNunzio's but make it thrive, as well as launch two more restaurant concepts in Ft. Myers, FL (1266 sunny miles away from the original location in Sea Isle City, NJ) Fine Folk Pizza, was founded in 2015, followed recently by his newest endeavor The Folkswagen Pizza Truck. In October of 2018, two of Mike's companies, DeNunzio's and Fine Folk Pizza won the Caputo Cup and shared the title for best Non-Traditional Pizza in the country at Pizza and Pasta North East that took place in Atlantic City, hosted by Pizza Today Magazine. Going through restaurant hell in the past financially and emotionally has inspired Michael to become a public speaker and restaurant coach. In November 2018, Michael launched his new coaching website restaurantmotivation.com, where he helps people who are looking to improve their lives by tackling the many issues that restaurant owners face daily.
