Steven began his restaurant career just out of college as a busboy in midtown Manhattan. Within 5 years he had made the move to back-of-house, working through NYC kitchens upscale & down such as Quilted Giraffe, Le Bernardin & Sarabeth’s. In 1998, he opened Good Restaurant in the West Village where he was chef/owner until 2017, when Good’s closing was publicly mourned by Mimi Sheraton in NY magazine. In June 2018, Steven accepted the position of Executive Director of the Food & Beverage Industry Partnership at NYC Small Business Services to work toward strengthening an industry that has given him so much for so long.
