In Joshua Boyt’s almost 20 years in coffee he has done everything from harvest coffee cherry on the farm to serve coffee in his own shop called Metronome Coffee. His life has truly been transformed by seeing the world and discovering how he fits into it. The first part of Joshua’s career, he spent 15 years working for some of the nations leading coffee roasters in sales, marketing, and business development. In addition Joshua is a past judge and emcee for the SCA World Barista Competitions as well as a level 2 certified barista with the BGA. Through Joshua’s tenure in coffee he has personally helped open over 100 successful retail concepts and truly understands every aspect of making a specialty coffee business thrive. Currently, Joshua is pushing the envelope of specialty coffee by launching an events and promotions company called Advanced Placement that creates memorable marketing experiences for clients like Volvo Automotive and other large companies worldwide. Joshua truly believes anything is possible if you listen to your heart and his life is proof.
