Colin McKinnon is the Regional Engineering Director covering the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) offices of Wood Group Kenny responsible for the safe and efficient execution of SURF projects and technical development work. Colin is responsible for technical assurance and capture of best practice across all engineering work performed by WGK in the EAME region. Colin has over thirty years’ experience in project management and engineering related to onshore pipelines, offshore pipelines and subsea systems. He has a particular interest in the development and application of new pipeline technology covering composite pipes, pipe in pipe systems, LNG pipelines and limit state design in ultra-deep water. He has worked on many deepwater projects including the Galsi Trunkline project in 2600m and the BP B31 SURF projects in Angola in 2500m. He is a chairman of the DNV pipeline committee.
