Caspar Heyl has over 18 years of experience in design and analysis of mooring systems for floating production platforms. Caspar graduated with a master’s degree in Naval Architecture from the University of Delft, focusing on hydrodynamics of floating offshore structures. From 1996 to 2013 Caspar worked at SOFEC, Inc. where he was responsible for design of permanent mooring systems for floating production platforms installed in variety of oil fields worldwide. He is a co-inventor on two US patents and author of numerous technical papers on offshore hydromechanics presented at international conferences. Caspar currently works at Shell where he is the mooring system delivery lead for the Vito project.
