Alan Butsch has been a Firefighter/Paramedic for over 30 years and presently serves as the Assistant Chief for EMS for the Montgomery County (MD) Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS). Chief Butsch has long been an instructor for both firefighting and EMS programs and is on faculty with the University of Maryland-Baltimore County's EHS program. Alan has served in several different EMS programs ranging from urban to rural as both a volunteer and career provider.
