Lt Col Jay Forte graduated from the Air Force Academy with a Mechanical Engineering degree (Class of 98’). He spent eight years active duty where he flew 2500 hours and achieved the level of Evaluator Pilot in both the C-21 Lear Jet and EC-130 Hercules. Jay is currently flying the MQ-1B Predator drone with the TX Guard and is an Instructor with nearly 4000 unmanned aircraft hours. Between 2012 and 2014 he worked as an offshore engineer for Baker Hughes. Currently Jay is the US and GOM VP Operations for Sky-Futures. Sky-Futures uses small UAVs (drones) to do visual inspections of oil and gas infrastructure both on and off shore.
