Kai-tung (KT) Ma, Mooring SME, with Chevron. KT received his PhD from University of California at Berkeley in 1994. He has 20 years of industry experience, specialized in mooring design, riser engineering, and reliability of marine structures. Currently a technical team lead at Chevron, KT’s work is focused on mooring system designs and installations for Chevron’s floating production facilities. In recent years he has become known with his work on mooring integrity and has been promoting the use of a higher target reliability. Helping the industry, he has been serving as members and champions for API RG2, RP16, ISO, DeepStar, etc.
