Etienne ARSELIN is a naval structure engineer who graduated in 1999 from the French engineering school Ecole Centrale de Nantes. He worked for five years as a rule developer at Bureau Veritas, developing rules to assess the strength of container ships, oil tankers and eventually mooring systems, offshore buoys and FPSOs. He joined SBM in 2005 where he participated as a lead engineer to the structural design of various projects such as the GAP, turret systems, topside module construction and hull conversions. He was naval lead on CDM/CDS where he participated to the structural calculations of hull structure conversion, topside integration, mooring integration and general architecture of the FPSO. He is part of the group of SBM technical experts and participates to the development of technical guidelines, procedures and standards.
