Andrew Kilner is Senior Vice President and Director of AMOG Consulting Inc in Houston Texas. AMOG Consulting is a specialist engineering consultancy providing leading solutions to the offshore oil and gas, marine, mining and defence sectors. With nearly 20 years of service at AMOG Consulting, Andrew has considerable expertise in advanced numerical analyses and testing incorporating hydrodynamic loading and response of dynamic offshore systems, including spread and turret moored systems, floating loading-hoses and flexible risers and Vortex Inducted Vibration assessment across fixed jacket, FPUs, CALM buoys and F(P)SO tanker systems. Andrew’s specialist skills also extend to on-bottom stability of subsea pipelines and cable systems. Andrew applied his long experience in the design and analysis of mooring systems as the AMOG project manager and technical reviewer for DeepStar® CTR 11405 Development of Guidelines for Risk-Based Mooring Integrity Management. This project developed guidance on the preparation and implementation integrity management systems for permanent mooring systems floating production systems used in offshore oil and gas production, from the initial design phases through to facility decommissioning.
