Shiladitya Basu has 10 years of experience in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry. He graduated from University of Michigan with a Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering in 2005. He has published multiple papers based on his research on progressive failure of carbon composite laminates during his stay at U of M. Since joining Granherne after graduation, he has worked in various field development planning, preFEED and FEED projects in established deepwater basins and in frontier regions. He has also co-authored papers on field development planning in DOT, OTC and SNAME Transactions. As the Jack/St. Malo suction anchor lead he worked closely with his Chevron counterparts and managed the engineering, regulatory approval, fabrication support and installation support effort. Shila also volunteers his time with SNAME OTC committee and various other non-profit organizations around Houston.
