Graduate from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering in 1985. I received my CSP designation in August of 1995, and later in 2015 I obtained an ARM certification and DSSA award as recognized by the NSC. I've been involved in retail EH&S for over 25 years and active member of the National Safety Council. Past employers include Liberty Mutual Insurance - St. Louis, MO and May Department Stores in Los Angeles, CA. While I was with May Company, I managed a team who supported H&S for multiple retail divisions along the West Coast. I was also employed by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. for over 17 years, where I managed a team of safety professionals dedicated to developing and administering safety programs for a business unit, accounting for nearly 1800 stores, including SuperCenters and Neighborhood Markets. I also was general manager for a Wal-Mart SuperCenter for 2 years responsible for all merchandising, operations and sales. Currently I am the manager over safety and crisis management for ToysRus, supporting nearly 900 stores and 8 distribution centers. Some of my accomplishments include developing safety training procedures and policies i.e. power equipment, accident investigations, and ergonomics. I have also developed engineering controls to assist in eliminating hazardous risks to our associates and customers. .
