Mike Verano is the clinical director for Optima EAP and a licensed marriage and family therapist. He is the clinical supervisor for the peer support teams in Newport News, Hampton, James City County and Portsmouth. He provides direct counseling services to first responders and their families and routinely trains safety professionals on topics that impact home life.
