Sagine Alerte

With nearly 30 years of experience in education, Sagine Alerte has witnessed the introduction of technology into the classroom and the amazing ways in which technology binds the world in new, unforeseen ways. Currently, she teaches English as a Second Language at Newark Central High School to English Language Learners, many of whom come from developing countries. Ms. Alerte uses technology to provide them the opportunity to work both independently and interact with instructors, fellow students, and various sources of information. Several of her students have been either valedictorian or salutatorian despite their recent arrival in the U.S.. This success of her students who have excelled is the gift for which every teacher dreams.
