Wei Ma received his Ph.D. degree in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from University of California at Berkeley in 1995. He started his professional career in the offshore industry at ABS and then Doris before joining Chevron in 2003. Wei has been working on a wide range of offshore projects and research problems. He was responsible for the Chevron Blind Faith hull and mooring delivery and has been involved in several other projects including the Jack St. Malo hull concept selection. His current role is technical team leader of the Global Responses and Concept Engineering team within Chevron Energy Technology Company in Houston.
