Gerry Hogan has been Director of Training at PB Heat, LLC for ten years and has been designing and delivering various technical training on subjects of combustion, venting, hydronic and steam piping, wiring and controls for fifteen years. Class styles have covered technical theory in classroom settings of up to 75 technicians and engineers as well as practical hands-on training with hydronic and steam boilers with burners of various types of fuels. The latest class offerings described above have recently been certified by NATE (North American Technician Excellence) for continuing education of HVAC, plumbing and heating technicians and NORA (National Oilheat Research Alliance) for heating professional training certification. Gerry designed and built a training laboratory with six live-fire boilers of up to 1mm BTUH capacity as well as a connected heating and cooling system for the training center and engineering laboratory. He has also designed and built two mobile training classrooms on trailers of 14' and 28’ length that have up to six live-fire boilers. The larger trailer is used to conduct hands-on and classroom training for up to 12 technicians at remote locations. The trailer is completely self-sufficient with its own heating, cooling and power generator.
