Holly Atkins
Associate Professor of Education
Saint Leo University


A former middle grades language arts teacher, Dr. Atkins is an Associate Professor of Education and the Chair of the Undergraduate Education Department at Saint Leo University. She teaches the educational technology course, as well as courses in middle/secondary school curriculum. Dr. Atkins is the principal investigator for the digital backpacks grant, and is the director of Saint Leo University's Teacher Technology Summer Institute. In 2016, Dr. Atkins was invited to present at a White House event, Advancing Educational Technology in Teacher Preparation. Dr. Atkins has presented on the use of technology in pedagogically sound ways at state, national, and international conferences.
