Sarah is the Founder and Principal of Empowered Hospitality, a full-service HR consulting firm that provides high touch support to hospitality companies of all sizes. Empowered Hospitality's mission is to create workplaces where people thrive. Sarah found HR after beginning her career in restaurant management with Hillstone Restaurant Group, where she felt the need for more collaborative, education-focused HR support first-hand. After being laid off in December 2016, Sarah founded Empowered Hospitality, which has since grown to a team of fifteen and has supported over 70 companies and 11,000 employees both in and outside of New York. Sarah has her Bachelor’s in Political Science with honors from Yale University, and holds her SHRM-CP.
