Mark Pitts is responsible for developing and coordinating policy and market advocacy positions for AF&PA members producing graphic papers, pulp, tissue and specialty papers. He leads product sustainability initiatives that drive informed decisions in the marketplace, including recovered fiber research, product standards development, and environmental campaign intelligence. Before AF&PA, Mr. Pitts spent 25 years as an executive with Glatfelter in various roles including profit and loss responsibility for communication papers, sales, marketing and new product development. He served on the board of directors of the Book Industry Study Group, the Book Manufacturer's Association, and as chairman of the Consumers for Paper Options coalition. He currently represents AF&PA as a board member of Two Sides North America and the Board of the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment.
