Eliah Halpenny is a tea pioneer and story teller enriched by 15 years of farming tea on the slope of Maura Loa volcano on the Big Island of Hawai'i. With a compelling inspiration to create a sustainable tea farm, supported by her husband whose own research is conservation genetics, and now tea research, she has recreated a diverse native forest with tea as the understory crop. "Kilinoe Tea Forest", its bio-diversity, and the soil, are the foundation for "Big Island Tea", an ultra premium, single batch, whole leaf tea. Big Island Tea is sold and served in Canada, the United Kingdom, United States and Taiwan.
