Dr. Yoo is a professor at Kookmin University and vice chairman of Korean Tea Society. With twenty years’ involvement in tea industry, he is actively engaged in teaching, speaking, researching and organizing activities to promote cross-cultural understanding of tea culture and tea industry development. He has published more than twenty research papers related to Korean tea and tea culture, and also authored the first English book on Korean tea and culture, ‘The Book of Korean Tea.’ He a recipient of numerous awards from Hadong, Boseong, Korean Tea Society, Myung Won Cultural Foundation, Holt International Foundation etc. and serves in various international tea committees.
