Vivolac Cultures Corporation
Dr. Thunell received his PhD under Bill Sandine and Floyd Bodyfelt at Oregon State University. He has been involved in the starter culture industry for the past 34 years, and has worked for several international companies including Miles Laboratories, Waterford Foods, Avonmore, Gist-Brocades and DSM. Dr. Thunell's work has concentrated on starter strain selection and characterization, starter media systems, and phage-mutant derivation. He currently works as Director of Research and Innovation, Cheese Cultures, for Vivolac Cultures Corporation.
