Stefan Schachter is an organic yerba mate entrepreneur. Stefan first discovered yerba mate when he volunteered in rural Paraguay as a teenager. After graduating from Stanford with a BA in Social Psychology, Stefan’s interest in sustainable agriculture and healthy energy grew into a passion. In partnership with two of his closest amigos, he launched the ECOTEAS Yerba Mate brand in 2001. After 15+ years in the yerba mate business, Stefan has earned a reputation as one of North America’s yerba mate experts. Stefan resides in Ashland, Oregon with his wife and son.
