Texas Tech University
Dr. Kendra Nightingale received her B.S. degree in Agriculture and M.S. degree in Food Science from Kansas State University. Dr. Nightingale completed her Ph.D. at Cornell University in Food Science with a concentration in Food Microbiology and minors in Epidemiology and Microbiology and she also completed her postdoctoral training at Cornell University. Dr. Nightingale joined the Department of Animal and Food Sciences at Texas Tech University as an Associate Professor in 2011. Dr. Nightingale’s research integrates basic and applied science to understand the molecular ecology and transmission of foodborne pathogens.
