Dr. Dennis D'Amico is a food microbiologist specializing in dairy. Throughout his career he has worked closely with the cheese industry developing risk reduction interventions and technical outreach programs to enhance the safety of cheese. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Connecticut Dennis teaches upper division courses in dairy technology while his research and outreach efforts continue to focus on improving the safety and quality of milk and value-added dairy products. Dennis is the faculty advisor to the University creamery and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Cheese Society.
