Noel joined PRO-MED’s management team in the fall of 2012. As the Compliance Manager and Medicare Revenue Cycle Manager, he manages the day to day operations for Pro-Med’s Audit and Medicare Reimbursement Departments. He provides support, education and training to our auditors and reimbursement specialists. Noel also provides countless hours of education and training, on general documentation requirements and product coverage criteria, to PRO-MED’s diverse client base. He monitors and trends all the audits across PRO-MED’s client base and coordinates the timely and comprehensive responses on behalf the clients. Noel, is an active member and contributor to Medicare DME Provider Advisory Groups for Jurisdictions A, C and D. He is also an active member and contributor to Medicare Jurisdiction B and C Medicare Council. He holds a diploma in Medical Billing and Coding, an Associate of Science in Health Information Technology Management, Bachelors’ of Science in Technology Management, and a Health Care Regulation Juris Master (JM) of Law Degree, from Florida State University’s, College of Law. Noel is also a Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC), Certified Durable Medical Equipment Specialist (CDME). Noel is avid advocate for policy changes that expand coverage to all eligible beneficiaries. In summer of 2019, he was successful in having Medicare add Guillain Barre Syndrome (G61.0) and Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy (G71.11) to the Wheelchair Seating Policy. This change allowed Medicare beneficiaries with these conditions access to specialty cushions that prior to the change would have been denied for coverage. The addition of these conditions not only expanded coverage for Medicare beneficiaries but also other members who’s insurance rely or differ to Medicare guidelines. Noel is actively working with stakeholders to effectuate similar changes that will expand coverage to all eligible beneficiaries.
