Speedy Romeo, Brooklyn
Born and Raised in Kansas City, Justin moved to NYC in 2001 and attended the French Culinary institute. After culinary school Justin started his 9 year career with Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Justin worked from intern to Sous chef at Jean-Georges within three years. He then opened Perry St. Restaurant in the west village and was Chef De Cuisine and held a Michelin Star for three years. After this he started traveling with JG training his Chefs to open restaurants around the world opening 15 locations in a three year run. Justin opened Speedy Romeo A woodfired pizza and Italian steakhouse concepts in 2012. Upon much a claim Justin open a second location in the lower Eastside in 2015. Speedy Romeo has one much a claim with its New York City fan base to acquire many appearances on top 10 best pizza lists and multiple publications. Speedy Romeo has also been on the Michelin Bibb Gourmand list since its inception. Recently in 2018, Justin has opened a woodfired Mexican Concepts in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn. On top of all that he just became a dad! Life is good!
