Tom Tharp is the Chief Engineer for the DoD ABIS system within the PdM Biometric Enabling Capability (BEC) office within PM Biometrics. DoD ABIS is the DoD's authoritative biometric store and match repository for non-US persons. Tom has a BS and Master's degree in Computer Science from University of Virginia and George Washington University. Although relatively new to the biometrics community, Tom has 20+ years working system engineering and acquisition within the Department of Defense.
