Dr. Jerry Liu is an educator with a background in behavior ecology, sensory perception, and organismal behavior. He currently collaborates with the Taiwan Tea Industry to develop courses, workshops, and materials on Tea Education for the Taiwan Tea Institute. Dr. Liu is also a faculty member at Mount Saint Mary’s University, and has taught courses on Behavioral Ecology, Neurobiology of Behavior, Environmental Science, and Human Anatomy & Physiology. Previously, he was a scientist with the Astrobiology Group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory – NASA; a Postdoctoral Fellow at USC; and has conducted research at Caltech, the Great Lakes WATER Institute, Shoals Marine Laboratories, Friday Harbor Laboratories, and the Marine Science Research Center. He has collaborated with and been funded by the National Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, Department of Defense, NASA, and DARPA. His work has appeared on BBC, Discovery Channel, and PBS.
