Tom Kloza was among the founders of Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) and has spent much of the last 50 years covering oil from the wellhead to the pump, with emphasis on pricing and supply. Prior to creating OPIS in 1980, Tom worked at Oil Buyers’ Guide where he extensively monitored refined products and natural gas liquids. From 1978 to 1980, he worked with some of the early pioneers of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) that culminated in the vibrant energy futures and options that dominate headlines today. Tom is perhaps best known for the hundreds of television and radio appearances he has made in the last 40 years, with major media often regarding him as the face and voice of the downstream oil business.
