Shankar Sundararaman, PhD, PE, has 13+ years of engineering and research experience in structural dynamics and vibration analysis. He has been working for the past 7+ years in the oil and gas industry including design and numerical analysis of riser systems (drilling risers, TTRs, SCRs), drilling engineering analysis, and drilling mechanics research. He is currently working for 2H Offshore based out of Houston and has in the past worked for ExxonMobil’s Upstream Research Company. He graduated with a PhD in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. He has 5 patents and patent applications. He has authored 1 book chapter, co-authored 6 journal papers and 10+ conference papers.
