Graeme Skivington
Product Engineering Specialist
VWS Westgarth Ltd.

Graeme Skivington joined Weir Westgarth in 2000, on completion of his post-graduate PhD study ("Off-Grid Applications for Wind Power"). Graeme spent several years as a mechanical engineer working on desalination (Multi-Stage Flash and Reverse Osmosis) and sulphate removal Design & Build projects. In 2005, the Westgarth company was purchased by Veolia Water, and Graeme continued to work for the newly-named VWS Westgarth. Since 2010, Graeme has managed the company's subsea development projects, taking VWS Westgarth’s expertise and products in topside seawater and produced water treatment for the offshore oil and gas industry, and applying them to produce subsea solutions. These projects cover a range of activities such as design case studies, equipment redesign, and qualification testing. Several of these studies have been carried out as part of SPRINGS®, a collaboration between Total, Saipem and Veolia to produce subsea sulphate removal seawater treatment plants.
