Improving Your Weakest Link (Room 208)

Every day, you engage in the pursuit of seeking your purpose in the world of Financial Management, Audit, Accounting and IT, and for the most part - fulfilling it.  For most of you, this accomplishment is completely dependent on a chain of actions that must be performed by others in a progression of events that you don’t directly control.  There are countless decisions and actions at all levels of authority, both above and below you, that must be made and communicated to be successful.

However, for most of you, there constantly seem to be added requirements embedded in your work efforts.  The embedded requirements somehow have become consistent stumbling blocks in the accomplishment of your job.  Needless to say, most are newly-established regulatory mandates, for which you must view as required.  Although you are fully aware of the fact that you now need them, they clearly limit your ability to fully function. Unfortunately, these unexpected, unfamiliar, time-consuming, requirements often jeopardize the quality and timely completion of your efforts. Consequently, the shifting challenges in the landscape of these new forces may have some feeling Boxed-In and Stressed!

In this session, we will take a lighthearted and humorous look at the current challenges of these workforces and identify some of the stress factors that challenge them.  This interactive and engaging workshop encourages participants to take an insightful look at three of the key factors (Challenges, Time, and Health) that play significant roles in promoting stress on their jobs and in their personal lives.  Participants will become aware of the value of Stress-Proofing themselves from the impact of these three key factors. This session will also provide effective guided scenarios that answer the question: How can an individual apply the concept of “Stress-Proofing” to change a stressful lifestyle?
