As the wind industry matures and the practice of repowering grows, so too will the heap of retired turbine parts. This session focuses on one of the more common, larger and more difficult parts to dispose of – blades. Proper disposal is increasingly not an option but a requirement that will change the industry’s sense of importance on this issue. Experts will discuss the problems associated with blade disposal and possible solutions that can be implemented—including avoidance of overwhelming landfills.
