Glycyrrhizin is derivative of plant based licorice root, and has been used for decades in masking bitterness and off-flavors of APIs, biofunctionals, high intensity sweeteners, and plant proteins.  Recent studies have demonstrated that glycyrrhizin derivatives are effective in managing the bitterness and off-flavors in CBD beverages, CBD oil tinctures and cannabis edibles.
