What happens when middle school students take part in an audit of their cafeteria waste? Wheels turn and light bulbs start going off, and interesting conversations and actions about food waste, excessive packaging, and personal responsibility result. This presentation will share stories and data from 21 schools in the Kansas City area that participated in a cafeteria food waste project.
