After researching and teaching the science of human experience for more than 50 years, E. Scott
Geller has come to realize the utmost value of 50 evidence-based life lessons relevant to enhancing human well-being and life satisfaction. Organizational attempts to manage the human side of safety often come up short because many of these life lessons aren’t considered. For example, the behavior-based safety practiced by numerous organizations worldwide is consistent with some of these life lessons, but several aren’t incorporated in common BBS applications. In this session, we’ll discuss why BBS is dramatically more effective when safety-improvement interventions are founded on a broader range of evidence-based theory and research from psychological science.
