This presentation examines each part of the fire tetrahedron and how controlling one or more parts of it can have a positive impact on fire extinguishment. Different tools and tactics from other parts of the word will be discussed as well as their application in the US. Data and videos from demonstrations and tests conducted by Project Kill the Flashover will also be presented. (There are two different program options. The first is a 4-hour classroom presentation as described and the second adds live fire demonstrations using a 20’ burn box, a small wooden doll house and the Max Firebox.
