The Food Integration Lab, sponsored by Fresh Cup Magazine, Design & Layout Services & Nuova Simonelli is a three hour workshop designed to educate attendees about what it takes to successfully add a culinary program to their coffee shop. Each three hour workshop will explore what it takes to be successful, as well as a what many people wish they had known before getting started. Do you want to increase your sales by incorporating food items into your current beverage menu? Do you want to learn how to compete with the national chains by serving easy to prepare, high margin food items that will keep your customers coming back for breakfast, lunch and dinner? All of the food items that will be featured in this extensive course do not require a ventilation exhaust hood, or a fire suppression system. Attendees will get hands-on experience with the equipment as well as the opportunity to watch, participate and taste the meals that are prepared. TOPICS COVERED: Menu Development Equipment Considerations Build Out & Retrofit Merchandising & Promotion Food Sourcing & Storage Food Handling & Safety Each student will also receive a resource guide complete with menu ideas and recipes.
