DM5 | Vocational Recovery and Partnerships for Identifying and Eliminating Work Disability (Room South Pacific D)

Washington’s State Fund significantly reduced the number of long-term disabled workers and cut claim liabilities by nearly $2 billion with measures for identifying at-risk claimants early on and then applying approaches employers and insurers can glean ideas from. The Fund’s continuing return-to-work improvements include vocational service vendor collaboration to identify best practices for eliminating work disability. You’ll also hear how it is addressing vendor compensation and non-financial incentives for best-practices adherence and testing its measures with workers, employers and medical providers.
